Dear Anonymous Commenter

Dear Anonymous Commenter,

You are a coward.  Cutting me down personally, yet not having the guts to post your name is a cowardice act.  Calling me a bigot and telling me I will get what I deserve sounds pretty angry and hateful to me.  I would almost say that it borders on a threat.  In a time of advanced technology and the ability to track IP addresses, I would say that your comment wasn't very smart.  And guess what?  As the moderator of my own blog, I don't even have to post your comment.  True, I am giving you attention by posting THIS on my blog, but merely to point how pathetically mean-spirited people can be.

I challenge anyone to find something hateful and bigoted on my blog.  I am a follower of Christ...Perhaps THAT is offensive to you.  I like to live life happy.  I CHOOSE happiness.  In these trying and difficult times, maybe you find it offensive that someone can actually find true joy.  You know the old adage "Sticks and stones may break my bones but names can never hurt me?". Well those words are wrong, and you knew it, and that is precisely why you said them.  But guess what?  You didn't hurt me.  I am confident in  my testimony of my Savior and I know I have done nothing wrong.  I will pray for you and your anger and hope that you let Christ erase that negativity from your life.  As for me?  I will blog on...

  1. I got an anonymous comment on PST a few weeks ago. I made someone so mad they used the f-bomb and called me a rude name. I didn't know if I should be insulted or proud that I caused that much of a stir over a cat. Haha! But, please, if you don't have the guts to own up to your comment, don't leave it. How pathetic are people?

  2. You go girl! People are just jerks and they like to make others feel bad about themselves because they feel bad about themselves. We love you and love everything you post, there's no need to feel rude because you aren't. keep up the great work!!!

  3. You go girl!!! We love everything you post and everything about you. Know you personally you aren't rude or a bigot, but a kind, generous people. Some people are rude to others because they don't feel good about themselves so they have to put others down. You just ignore them and know that we appreciate you and all you do!!!

  4. It is too bad they weren't taught that if they don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!!!

Love your blog! You always make me laugh! And I applaud you for standing up to those hateful comments in a Christ-like way!

  5. Hugs!! I think every blogger has gone through this - sometimes many times. Not fun, but some people are just like that. I don't allow anonymous comments. Although there will always be people who will actually take the time to make up a new Google account to be a jerk, most won't bother. I do recommend that setting on your blog though.

    Keep on, keeping on!!!

  7. I'm guessing that people sometimes think that just because we are Mormon we are bigots. That's how they respond when we don't agree with them. They don't use any sort of logic or discernment just spew anger and hatred. The irony is that people who think that Mormons are like that actually are very ignorant of the Mormon religion. You are doing a great job with your blog! <3 Haters are going to hate.

  8. I ended up blocking all anonymous comments on my blog. Not because of any nasty comments but because of annoying spam comments!

  11. Obviously you are moving and shaking. That's when the nay-sayers come out. When they come out they come out in all their negativity. I don't mind someone not agreeing with me -- but can't they voice their thoughts in a positive way. Blasting someone has never changed anything. Blessings sweet friend!!!

  12. I got one in reply to a blog where the person said that after reading why I write they were driven to go outside. Ouch. Not hateful but rather dispiriting. Writing your blog will help lessen the sting. Nicely written.
