My 42nd Year Bucket List

I've been contemplating being 42, and, yes, I think I am having a midlife crisis. More than likely my life is half way over. There are things I want to do that I've never done before my 42nd year is up.

Here is my "Bucket List"

1.  Skydiving with my friend J-Thurbs who happens to be  23 years younger than me!

2.  Run in a 10K.  I've done a 5K now it's time for the 10.

3. I'd totally like to see the Grand Canyon.  Never been there and it's about time.
Ya hear that KT?

I Will Not Go Gentle

Today I celebrate another birthday. At some point, I don't remember when, but birthdays were and are no longer fun. I'd prefer to spend the day in bed with the covers pulled up high and wait out the dreaded day. This poem by Dylan Thomas speaks to me. I will NOT go gently into that good night....

Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night
by Dylan Thomas

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Happiness & Contentment

Things that make me happy and feel contentment.
Really they are quite simple...

1. Running
2. Yoga
3. Chocolate
4. A big, thick book
5. Zero contention and or drama
6. Romantic Comedies
7. Scriptures
8. Employment/paycheck
9. country music
10.  My family

And, not necessarily in that order

Off the Juice

Okay, so I've been off of my beloved Diet Cherry Coke for far too long. In fact, I'm so old, that I can't even count how long it has actually been. I no longer have the dreaded caffeine headaches! Yipee! But I still miss the cold, sweet, bubbly. Do you know what I mean? I am so freaking tired of water...

So here is my question to you? What can I drink that is not full of sweeteners, artificial sweeteners and caffeine? Any ideas, suggestions or recipes you can share? I plan on boiling some herbal tea then chilling it. Any others?

I am so excited

I am so excited to share my latest news with you. Oh my gosh! I am beside myself. I've been feeling a little moody and under the weather. My boobs are bigger and so is my belly. I decided to do the dreaded pee on a stick, and you guessed it....Prego. Almost 42 and Prego!

I'm just kidding. I'm just FAT!

April Fools!
