Softball Mom

I have been a baseball/softball mom for too many years to count. (If I didn't count it might reveal my age, and that is just too shocking). I've even come to love the game (but only in fair weather). I enjoy watching the kids get excited and play. I love the cheers and chants coming from the dugout. What I don't love is overly intense coaches. This isn't the major league...Come on get a clue...these are children playing a game and having some fun. If they wanted to be professionals, they wouldn't be playing in our league. It's okay to make mistakes, it's okay to lose a game and it's okay to let them learn and grow from their mistakes. It isn't all about the coaches, really, I checked...it isn't...

Men and Women, jeesh!

I am writing this today in frustration...MEN!  I am in no way bashing men.  Don't get me wrong...I am just frustrated and venting.  What makes it so difficult to call an outdoor sporting event due to weather?  I mean seriously?  The weatherman has been predicting thunderstorms all day, but, yet, we gather at the field an hour before for warm ups anyway.  The coaches are intently studying the skyline as flashes of lightening flicker all around the field.  Maybe if you study it hard enough it will go away?  I don't know...  Let's wait until the storm is right on top of us whipping wind and sand as well as lightening and large claps of thunder before you decide it is SAFE to call the game.  Does it make you less of a man to call the game before the other coach?  Finally, we call the game because parents are grabbing their daughters and running for their car.  Ducking our heads down to the wind, we are making our escape and praying that we don't get hit by lightening or worse yet a car in that parking lot that is a sea of chaos.  This is just one of those moments that is like a big neon sign shouting how different men and women are...Me, I would have called the game at the first clap of thunder, but I am overly cautious...

Been Crazy Busy!

I haven't been blogging my usual amount. I feel out of touch with the blogging world. Life has been crazy busy. The end of the school year, softball tournaments, baby showers, conducting school registration, preparing for a trip later in the month, my parents impending move...Need I say more?
I would like to congratulate Ladybug on an incredible softball season. Her team played eight games in five days. They went all the way to the finals and had to beat the undefeated team twice. They beat them the first game, but lost to them the second game. (It was their third game of the day, so they were pretty tired). They finished second in the Treasure Valley and got a nice medal. From Mountain Home, to Horseshoe Bend, to Kuna, to Nampa from Boise to Meridian.

#2 Rocks!
From there I threw a baby shower for my dear sister-in-law.
We are excited for baby Zoe's arrival!
So, If you are wondering where I be...
know that life has just taken over.
Stay tuned for more exciting adventures and life experiences from 2busy...

40 Year Birthdays!

What does a 40 year old do on her birthday you ask? Here is a photo essay on just that...
I ate a LOT of this...
Listened to a little of this: Kid Rock "Roll On" (located on my music player below) ♫♫"Roll on, Roll on Roller Coaster We're One day older and one step closer Roll on there's mountains to climb Roll on we're on borrowed time. Roll on Roller Coaster, roll on tonight"♫♫ Read a lot of this...
AND watched a lot of this...
Hey batter, batter, batter...Swing batter! ♫♫Ladybug, hit the ball. Just hit the ball and run, run, run. First, second, third and home, Around the bases you will roam.♫♫
