Thirty-two Steps...Continued...

Thirty-two steps back to the house... Opening the door, I feel the warmth of the heater.  But, I feel a different warmth, too.  A warmth that permeates through my heart and soul.  My Father touching my spirit and telling me, "Have faith, child, for I am with you..."  I truly felt him there with me.  My greatest fear has been Miguel leaving the country.  There is so much unrest and hatred, that the thought of leaving the country causes great anxiety for me.  I realized recently that fear and faith cannot coexist.  So, I turned it over to the Lord.  He was telling me that day a needed message, "I know you, I know your fears, it will be okay..."  His love brought tears to my eyes.

I set that letter proudly on the mantle.  I am so pleased with this man boy of mine who has chosen to live his life in the gospel and in the service of God.  We had 21 friends and family gather together plus Military Man on the phone from New Mexico.  As Miguel opened his letter, we all hushed......

Good luck Atlanta, Georgia!
Here comes Miguel, AKA The Beiber Kid

By the way, WHO DID THIS?

A Month of Giving Thanks Week 3

11. My new bug! It is seriously a blessing to be able to jump in the car in the morning and know it is going to start. Plus it is so festive in the Red Rocks Red aka ORANGE.

12. My parents (who don't like their picture taken so I have to be sneaky.)

13. My brother and his wife and especially Baby Z

14. Hot Chocolate (who doesn't love that!?)

15. A dear pen pal who makes my days a little brighter

Photo shamelessly stolen from her blog.

Babies are Mesmerizing

What is it about little babies that is so mesmerizing?  I find that I can sit and stare at them for hours.  I get lost in those little eyes, that just a short time ago laid eyes on our Heavenly Father.  I ogle them watching for those sweet expression and smiles as I ooh and ahh.  I blow raspberries in their chubby necks to hear the contagious giggles.  I thought this rapture and infatuation had ended with my babies.  How could I possibly feel the same about any other baby?

Then, in walks Baby Z, and she has stolen my heart.  My little niece comes for a visit about once a week.  I am at my brother's mercy.  I have texted him, "Go to a movie and bring me your baby!", though they have yet to take me up on my offer.  I am so glad he and my sis are willing to share and let me goober all over their sweet little angel from time to time.

Some people think babies are boring.  They find more excitement in them as they get older and become more interactive.  I find there is something divine about every stage, but when they are infants, they are the closest you can come to heaven.

Letters to KT #6

Dear KT,

We missed you yesterday for Easter.  You know in almost 21 years of marriage we've only spent one holiday apart.  That time wasn't your choice...Remember in 1990 when the Marine Corps sent you to Bahrain for a lovely working vacay?  I missed you for Christmas that year, but spent a lovely time in San Diego.  Do you realize you've never spent a holiday away from your boys?  Just so you don't miss us too much, here is an Easter picture of us at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

And a little Baby Z in her Easter Bonnet...

Baby Z

I am now the proud Auntie for the 5th time. Baby Z was born today at 2:35 pm. I am so excited to be an active participant in her life. My closest other nieces and nephews are over 1,600 miles away. Congratulations little brother!!! You done good!

What a gratifying experience. It is so different when you aren't the one in labor. I think I wouldn't mind being a labor nurse of a midwife. But that would be a different life time, I think. We were banished in the final stages from the room which was to be expected. The final product is beautiful. Welcome to the world Baby Z!

Been Crazy Busy!

I haven't been blogging my usual amount. I feel out of touch with the blogging world. Life has been crazy busy. The end of the school year, softball tournaments, baby showers, conducting school registration, preparing for a trip later in the month, my parents impending move...Need I say more?
I would like to congratulate Ladybug on an incredible softball season. Her team played eight games in five days. They went all the way to the finals and had to beat the undefeated team twice. They beat them the first game, but lost to them the second game. (It was their third game of the day, so they were pretty tired). They finished second in the Treasure Valley and got a nice medal. From Mountain Home, to Horseshoe Bend, to Kuna, to Nampa from Boise to Meridian.

#2 Rocks!
From there I threw a baby shower for my dear sister-in-law.
We are excited for baby Zoe's arrival!
So, If you are wondering where I be...
know that life has just taken over.
Stay tuned for more exciting adventures and life experiences from 2busy...
