Miguel's Missionary Moment

I'd like to take a break today from Miguel's regular letters and share a video with you that warmed my mama heart and brought tears to my eyes.  One more year till Miguel comes home!  One more year until I can hug my son again...No one said it would be easy, but missing him has been dang hard...

If you like heart warming, then I promise it is worth your time.

  1. The time goes by quickly, too. My niece just returned from her mission, and while I realize that girls serve for a bit shorter time period than boys it honestly seemed like she only left a few months ago and already a year and-a-half had flown by! He'll be home before you know it. What an exciting time to be serving a mission. So many wonderful things happening in the mission field!

  2. That was just lovely and very heart warming. I've met many missionaries over the years here in Australia and some more recently that were really nice young men. I asked if they missed their folks and they said yes but they were truly honoured to be doing the job they do. I'm not an LDS but I sure would find it hard if my boy (only 6 at the moment) ever went away for 2 years. I've got to hand it to you.

  3. How sweet. I hope the time flies by for you but that it's richly packed.

  4. I love this video! I love it so much I'm posting it on my blog this week with a write up, not because I have a missionary son (obvsiously haha) but because of my husband going on a mission. He didn't have a mom who saw him off or greeted him at the airport, his parents basically just left him alone during the time. Anyway, just feel really inspired to share this and my thoughts, thanks so much for sharing it, I will tag your blog in the post!
