Broncos Love Fiestas

I saw that on a shirt, Broncos Love Fiestas, while sitting on my couch watching the Fiesta Bowl on TV whilst being in possession of 3 tickets to the Bowl Game in Arizona.  It's really a sad thing when weather interferes with your plans. I mean it's January, come on already.  Snow?  Seriously?

But just because we ate the cost of the tickets didn't mean we didn't have a dang fun tailgating party and tailgating parties are always the best when the team you love wins.  So, I sit on my couch wrapped in a furry blanket that makes me feel like a cat, feeling grateful, and all purry for my family and the safety they were afforded in staying home.

What I love most about Autumn

The change of seasons make me happy...I am a sensory person.  The colors, the smells, the sounds...everything about Autumn just appeals to me.  AND the weather has been unbelievable.  How can you beat 65 degrees during the day.

Football!  Two weeks after my back surgery I was able to go to my first BSU football game.  I missed two!  Had to give my tickets away...in fact, I watched one of their games from my hospital bed.  For a girl who didn't grow up playing sports, I sure do love to watch some BSU football...Ladybug and I wear matching blue and orange shoes...

I have enjoyed afternoons walking my dog...the sound of the leaves crunching beneath my boots, the smell of damp leaves, the golden sun warm on my skin...

I've been busy...probably much to busy for my own good.  I'm back to pleasing my daughter again.  Not that I haven't pleased her in the past, but there was a while there when I couldn't do anything.  So, I made her a Minion.  He was entered in a Pumpkin contest, but we didn't win.

Oh, and I went apple picking.  Don't you just love those beautiful pictures of the apple orchards and gathering apples.  It is an experience I tell ya.  But, I don't do apple picking quite like that, unfortunately...Walmart, is a different kind of an experience altogether.

Football for Christmas

Yeah, It's true!  It's almost February, and I am going to make a Christmas post.  That is because I have had creativity blockage.  Back in December I posted about some Flexibility having to do with the Holidays, because I'm pretty much a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas.  But, by the kindness of a friend, we were in possession of 5 free tickets to the Maaco Bowl in Las Vegas to see our favorite BSU play some football the Saturday before Christmas....a 12 hour drive.  Christmas in Vegas?  I wasn't so sure, but the promise of seeing my Grandmother in California the day after the game had me consenting.  Besides, I came to the realization that I was probably the only one who cared about those silly traditions.  We were to drive home on Christmas Eve.

As it turns out a major storm watch was in effect for Utah (our route home) on Christmas Eve.  So, (more flexibility here), we packed up a day early without seeing grandma to make it safely home.  We still hit 2 hours of blizzard, but that was far better than twelve.

I really should get some kind of award here.  But, time with KT, Air Force Man, Ladybug and BLT was time well spent.

FYI, BSU won!  So worth the trip...

Since I've had such a full month of blogging sharing information about my faith during my 31 Days of Faith series, I am going to be taking some time off.  It may be a week or a month.  I haven't quite decided what I can handle yet.  I will be unplugging from all social media to fully immerse myself in the beauty of the season, enjoying time with family and becoming more fully engaged in all I do.

I will still be posting at Pear Shaped Thoughts on November 5, 13, 21 and 29th....So not completely unplugged.  Please bear with me and stay tuned...So if I don't see you before December, may your November be filled with gratitude for

I have to admit to being a little sad that Tim Tebow has been traded to the Jets.  I am a fan of Tim Tebow and the media frenzy that seems to follow him.  I just really liked him.  BUT, I am very excited about Peyton Manning.  I'm ready to watch some winning football!  I am hereby passing on some advice to all you Jets fans...

Are you a football fan? I am, at times. The conditions have to be right, the stars have to align...Or one of my three favorite teams have to be playing...BSU Broncos, BYU Cougars or the Denver Broncos. When we moved to Idaho I was able to jump on board with the Boise State Broncos quite easily. The blue and orange was reminiscent of my Denver Bronco days and the Orange VW Rabbit I used to drive around town. Who doesn't like a little Orange? Labor Day, Football parties, food and little Boise State Broncos....It's a great day...

I'm not gunna lie here, I think Football is a sexual sport. It is a place for men to get out all their male aggression and sexual frustrations. I mean what's with all the butt slapping and tight pants? Who came up with that? And some of the verbiage the commentators use like PENETRATION...I take a quick glance at KT to see if he caught it, he knows what I think. .

Has anyonelse noticed these sexual innuendos? or do I just need to get my mind out of the gutter?
