No Autographs, Please

It seems like just yesterday, this girl was the Shiz...and she still is.  I feel so honored to have a daughter like this, so No autographs, please.  I'm going to have a little brag moment here, because I'm all verklempt.  This sweet ladybug of mine, was student of the month at her school.  We are so proud of her.  She had no idea she was going to be honored.  We are sneaky like that.

In addition, she remains in the National Junior Honor Society for the second year running.  I have great hopes for this child...A scholarship perhaps?

This Girl is the Shiz

This girl is the SHIZ and I'm not even joking.  Ladybug recently had to do this HUGE project to finish up the 8th grade.  It required a 7-10 page report on a Presiden't Wife, a tri fold poster board spotlighting the life of this particular President's Wife, as well as, a 3 minute memorized speech with costume and props.  This girl of mine, did I mention she is the SHIZ, got 100% on each aspect of her project.  And, the teacher loved what she did so much that he had our High School Broadcasting group video tape her speech.  If I ever get my hands on a copy of that, I'm sure I'll blog it.

Sports, sports, sports

Lately, my afternoons have been consumed with either Middle School basketball practice or Middle school basketball games. Ladybug (#24)  plays even though she is a shortie, shortie short stuff. We get to travel to exotic sounding towns like Adrian, Oregon, Idaho City, Horseshoe Bend and Notus.  I never got into playing sports. I tried a little softball and volleyball with church, but I just sucked! I think that is why I love running so much. I'm doing something athletic, but at the same time, I don't have to feel like I suck compared to other people (unless I run a race, which I did, and it didn't even turn out badly.)

My evenings have been filled with football. I was never a HUGE football fan unless it is a team I truly care about the teams. KT is one to turn on whatever game because he LOVES it. I think he just likes the noise. Give me some Boise State Broncos or Denver any day, and I'll watch. Thanks KT for teaching me the love of the game.
