A Month of Giving Thanks
I love Thanksgiving. I feel like the Holiday kind of gets lost in the shuffle between Halloween and Christmas. It's like you go from one to the other. I love the whole premise behind Thanksigving...The colors....the food....the smells...family...Giving Thanks...In honor of Thanksgiving, I am going to post things I am Thankful for each Thursday until the official day. That way, for me, it doesn't get lost....You know?
1. My 21 year marriage to KT
2. KT's job and how hard he works to provide for our family.
3. TJ, soon to be Air Force son, and for the friend he has become.
4. Miguel and for the comedy he provides.
5. Ladybug and for how sweet she is and the tenderness she adds to our family.

21 years is amazing!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. I noticed as I walked into Target that Halloween was put away and Christmas was up! Where's Thanksgiving? We can't look for it in stores. Grattitude needs to be in our hearts. Yea, I'm profound.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 21 years!
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely a month to be thankful. I always think during Nov how I should be this thankful all year round, but then I get caught up in life and thankfulness seems to be forgotten.
Ha! I am a sucker for Christmas. I can't wait for the stuff to hit stores. I know I should be more into Thanksgiving....I do like it....but I just get so distracted by the red and green! Glad you can remind me to be thankful :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats! 21 years is the quite the feat! I love Thanksgiving and I also agree that it is the most neglected holiday.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely idea! Gratitude deserves more than one day, right?
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to pop over and thank you for entering the giveaway for my 2011 calendar on Oh, Mishka. We've got a few left if you're still keen! (cough, shameless self-promotion, cough) ;)
I love Thanksgiving, too, and wish it wasn't sandwiched between Halloween and Christmas. I've yet to think of any very good Thanksgiving traditions (that don't center around food.) :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I will join in on the celebration of your 21 years! That is truly something to be thankful for.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE thanksgiving. For my family its a big deal and I love that you list your thanks so early in the month!
