Boise Aquarium, What?

Happy 4th of July!  It is my most favorite holiday of the year.  It truly is!  Anyway, I made a post on Sunday in tribute to the 4th.  The following is something entirely different.  Catching up with the fam...

Yes, it's true!  Boise has an Aquarium, and if you are asking yourself, what?  Don't worry, I was like "What?", too.  I mean we are 12 hours from the Pacific ocean logistically it just doesn't make sense!  It is small, but still a fun place to wander around and feed the fish

and spend an afternoon with the kids.

Then afterwards, we went to the mall and I found my FAVORITE frozen hot chocolate mix from Serendipty at William Sonoma.  Oh my!  Guess what we had that afternoon? And we didn't even have to go to Vegas to get one!

Again? Really?

We are returning to the land of iniquity. We were there a year ago, and I thought I might never return. I have issues with crowds, you know. The allure of getting away sans children was just too overwhelming. (Would you believe I googled how to say "without" in French, because I forgot, and came up with a wiki article on how to french kiss? Merci buckets, oui, oui)  We are staying here again, because it was fab, I have to see her, I just have to, and I need to get me one of these because a girl needs her chocolate.  For our 21st anniversary we will be in Vegas.  Vegas baby!  What DO Mormons do in Vegas?

On another note, do you think I can get my darling KT to leave his mistress at home?  Highly doubt it!

Sweet Serendipity

On our way home, I made it known that it was quite mandatory to stop on the Vegas strip for the finest frozen hot chocolates in the world. Serendipity 3 has the best! There are only two words to describe the decadence "OH MY!" You can make frozen hot chocolate at home with this simple recipe.
Here is my lo-cal recipe for a frozen hot chocolate. But, not quite as good:
1 1/2 cups ice cubes
1/4 cup splenda
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons instant nonfat dry milk power
1 cup 1% low-fat milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender in the order listed; process mixture until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides.
Makes 2
