When I was broken, the most comfortable position I could find was lying on the floor on my stomach...Yeah I spent a lot of time there...And I have some confessions to make
- I watched all three season of Downton Abbey on Amazon Prime using only my free trial and then canceling.
- I read so many books that I can't even list them
- I showered but didn't shave...I just couldn't bend that way
- Makeup? hahahahaha...yeah I was scary looking
- I thought I was tough. Now I know I'm a blubber baby.
- I crawled, a lot. I think I may have worn holes in my pants
- While lying on the floor, I saw everything I couldn't do that needed doing. Like pet hair in the carpet, floors needing to be washed. When you are that close, it's just gross.
- I think I wore the same comfy/stretchy pants over and over...
- Talking to your animals like they are people might make you certifiably insane.
- I lost my independence and I didn't like it.
- I will admit to being a kind patient. Despite my pain, I didn't let it affect my attitude when my family was around.
What confession do you find most shocking?
If talking to your pets like they are people is a sign of insanity, then I officially work in the nut house. :) You could look at it as a chance to see life from a different perspective. a very small, close to the floor perspective. heh heh. :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm this list can apply to most writers I know. You have a book in the making: Life from the carpet view. ;) Glad you're up and about again.
ReplyDeleteI know what is like being in a space where one feels so down and out. I also did a lot of reading at that time especially inspirational books. Somehow we find ways to cope and with God's help lift our spirits again. I am a new Follower of your blog. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling much better now? And too busy and engaged with life to worry about the chores you couldn't do when you were nose-to-carpet! :)
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwww bless your heart, that sounds awful!
ReplyDeleteLists always help me understand people better. Thanks for the glimpse into you, and Downton? Love it.
