I know in all you are wondering where I have been? I'm sure I've left a gigantic hole in your life. My lack of scintillating blog posts has left you in want and need...I know...That's just the way I roll...Blogging has not been of utmost importance in my life as of late. I've actually been out experiencing life and hope to perhaps write on those experiences soon. The beautiful spring weather and the sunny days have me re prioritizing what is important to me right now. That would be, well, soaking up some much needed Vitamin D, lots of reading, home improvement projects, work, and the infamous softball season. I will try to post some interesting blog fodder at least once a week. Hang tight, I'm still here...

But then I remember...
Sometimes when I see young mothers snuggling their babies, I wish I still had one. I loved to kiss and smell their chubby, soft necks scented of Baby Magic. I adore feeling completely loved and thoroughly needed. Perhaps I am agonizing over the slow loss of my youth. I mean I am closer to menopause than child bearing. But then I remember...
TOASTER BABIES!!
So, now when I feel that little nag and need for a baby fix all I have to do is remember...
***This is in no way meant to be anti-baby. I LOVED that phase of my life. There were just parts I could have been happy without.***

Look what I did!
Look what I did while my husband was gone. It's something we had talked about, but was a pretty drastic change....This was a very difficult decision for me. I am a closet environmentalist...But, I am a practical one. Shhh, don't tell my husband, he likes to argue politics, and I avoid confrontation. This tree was my favorite, but was proving dangerous to our home. The roots were branching towards the house, foundation and sidewalks. The weak willow wood was a hazard in a windstorm. I always worried about a branch crashing down on the house. We didn't plant this tree, the previous owner did. It is amazing how fast it grew. Today is a day of mourning for my favorite shade tree in the summer...Did I mention I was sick to my stomach the whole time it was being cut down. Won't he be surprised when he gets home this afternoon? Honey we've got some work to do...Oh wait, work is a 4 letter word...literally.
Now you see it....
Now you don't...
Now you don't...

Letters to KT #6
Dear KT,
We missed you yesterday for Easter. You know in almost 21 years of marriage we've only spent one holiday apart. That time wasn't your choice...Remember in 1990 when the Marine Corps sent you to Bahrain for a lovely working vacay? I missed you for Christmas that year, but spent a lovely time in San Diego. Do you realize you've never spent a holiday away from your boys? Just so you don't miss us too much, here is an Easter picture of us at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Letters to KT #3
Dear KT,
Remember last year when you said that you'd help me paint our bedroom for my 40th birthday present? Well...I'm almost 41, and I'm tired of waiting. While you were galavanting all over St. Louis doing the site seeing thing, I was painting our bedroom. It should make you wonder how much I really need you. I was able to accomplish painting vaulted walls without my taller husband. Makes you think, doesn't it? I must say, at this point, I'm not finished. I am thinking of picking up some kind of contrasting color for the other two walls. Relaxing bedroom almost complete...
Before and after photos here for your perusal...
