We have a little game we play called "In the bathroom". I am not ashamed to admit that I am an unconventional mormon and very irreverent at times. I take solace in the fact that Heavenly Father MUST have a sense of humor. Otherwise, why would he have given us one. Anyway, when Sacrament meeting is dragging or the speaker is just a little boring, we play "In the Bathroom". Here's how it goes, you look through the hymnal at the titles of songs and add "In the Bathroom" to the end of the title. The goal is to not bust out laughing. Here are some examples... Behold, the Mountain of the Lord - in the bathroom Cast Thy Burden upon the Lord - in the bathroom Come, Follow Me - in the bathroom Called to Serve - in the bathroom and lastly, See the Mighty Priesthood Gathered - in the bathroom
May God have mercy on my soul...
When my brother and sisters and I were little, we used to add the word "poop" at the end of every verse.
ReplyDeletemom wondered why we thought hymns were so humorous. :)
great minds think alike, i guess... :)
Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteI will pray for you.
Oh My! You are truly naughty! Remind me not to sit by you during the hymns! I don't want to get burned! :D
ReplyDeleteWe have always played a similar game with fortune cookies--where you add "in bed" to the end. I am sure you have played it. We made a fake fortune cookie for a co-worker (who also plays this game) and it said, "You have dissappointed many." It was fun to watch his stunned face.
This cracks me up!
ReplyDeleteI was reading the comments that were left, and had to laugh when I realized the first comment (the one that I thought was so funny) was actually from my sister!
Don't let her fool you, when she says they USED to use the word poop after everything, that still goes on (at least with him anyway)
What a dork! hee hee
